metal signs - designed and hand formed by aalchemy

An example of the beautifully crafted and hand formed metal signs that aalchemy create to order.

'wild' pictured above is made from steel and is part of a logo aalchemy designed for 'wild toast' cafe. Working in steel rod Aaron Wilson and Robyn Johnson use heat and metal carving tools to tranform metal into elegant type. The signs can be made to order out of stainless or mild steels. The stainless words are reminescant of car badges from a bygone era, the mild steel is painted with high quality enamel coatings.

Another sign designed and created by aalchemy shown in unpainted in mild steel for children's retail store 'bella and buddy'. The playful and colourful log was precisely replicated in steel and is shown painted below and installed at the shop situated in 657 High Street, East Kew, Victoria.

aalchemy also create signs and numbers out of hand cut steel. Engraving can also be done in this medium to embellish the steel. Below is an example of an engraved hand cut house number that has been coated with high quality enamel paints.
